David B. Ettinger, MD, DMD
Board Certified, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Ettinger earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) in chemistry from Binghamton University, his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and a Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Subsequently, Dr. Ettinger completed a one year internship in General Surgery and a three-year residency in both Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesia at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Ettinger has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1993. His areas of expertise include the use of osseointegrated implants in combination with bone grafting and the full range of dentoalveolar surgery.
Excellence defines Dr. Ettinger’s academic and professional careers. He graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine as the school’s salutatorian and currently assists as the Clinical Professor.
Dr. Ettinger eagerly fulfills his established role as a leader in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He actively holds esteemed position of Fellow to the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Ettinger is affiliated with several professional organizations, among them the American Dental Association, the American Medical Association, the American Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Academy of Osseointegration, the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Society of Dental Anesthesia.
In addition, Dr. Ettinger is dedicated to staying abreast of the latest oral and maxillofacial surgical innovations, techniques and technology. To stay current in these areas, he attends more than 80 hours of continuing education courses a year. He also enjoys skiing, and spending time with his wife, Jacqueline, and sons, Alex, Sam, and Jake.
